Virginia Andrews, MA
I consider therapy to be a partnership in exploration and discovery where we will work
together with a goal of gaining insight and understanding into areas that will promote
healing and personal growth. I provide a safe environment that evokes self-awareness
and positive change.
I am very empathetic, nurturing, and non judgmental of sensitive issues. My strengths
include many life experiences, and the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with my
clients.
My specialty is in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma. My experience has been
with domestic violence, career decisions, relationship issues, overcoming problem
behaviors, and spiritual matters.
I earned a Master's degree in Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University with my
internship at Vanderbilt University Psychological and Counseling Center. I am trained in
(EMDR) Eye Movement Desensitation, which is especially effective with trauma. Also, I
am an active member of two local counseling associations and attend educational
seminars regularly. I follow all of the guidelines of the National Board for Certified
Counselors.
It is my belief that everyone has the right to health care. Therefore, I will work with fee adjustments.
Night and weekend appointments are available.
Taking the first step is often the most difficult. You don't have to go through this alone. Please don't hesitate to call.
